Only One Answer / Our Plan: Repentance

God is Calling Our Nation to Repentance

A significant number of Christians must repent of our sins - especially of not loving our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ above all else - if we are to have any hope of National salvation.

Judgement starts with the house of God (1 Peter 4:17).  Revival through repentance is the answer.

Senator Tom Daschle C-span speech 9/12/2001

Tom Daschle incorrectly applied the verse Isaiah 9:10 thinking it was a positive verse regarding the nation's situation when in fact it was a verse about God's impending judgment unless our nation repents of our wicked ways.  Reading it in context, Isaiah 9:9-10, says: "Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria [in this case: the USA], asserting in pride and in arrogance of heart: The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild...", Regardless God used Daschle to make this prophetic national proclamation.  The United States of America, all its leaders and citizens, need to repent, before God, of our corporate pride and arrogance (and much more).

God opposes the proud, but he gives grace to the humble. (James 4:6)

God is Merciful and God is Just

He keeps turning up the severity of the discipline / judgement in a merciful attempt to get our attention so the we will turn back to Him in humility [confess that we did wrong and here is what we did wrong... (name all of it)] and repentance [turning from our sinful ways - especially the sin of not placing Him first in our lives (greatest commandment Matthew 22:36-38)] because He greatly desires our relationship with Him to be fully restored through His beloved Son, Jesus Christ - our Lord and savior.

13 When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence [like Covid-19] among my people, 14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn [repent] from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:13-14)
